Vacation, Day 5--Rhine Valley, Germany

Driving from Antwerp to the Rhine Valley in Germany,
we stopped to eat lunch at a Chinese place in the Nederlands.

Now on to our destination!  Bacharach, Germany, on the banks of the Rhine, where we stay at Hotel Kranenturm.  The hotel was recommended by Rick Steves the travel expert, and it was even better than we thought it would be!  The girls have their own room across the hall...most hotels in Europe don't fit 4 people.  And they love the Blue Room!
We didn't arrive until almost 5pm, and the gentleman at the bike rental place said it was too late to rent bikes, so there go my plans of biking on the Rhine tonight.  Instead we hiked up to Castle Stahleck, now a youth hostel.  It was quite a hike, all up, but it was worth it.
