Today and tomorrow are national holidays to celebrate Independence Day....for several days this week there is a festival in Gent, and today we drove over and met up with a co-worker, Kurt, and his family, Hilda, Eniss and Maude. Of course I found lots of beautiful doors and windows for my collection, especially in the Belfry of Gent and the Gravensteen Castle. We were there all day and had a great time, ate way too much--brats, fries, burgers, spaghetti, pork stew, ice cream (twice!) and of course, waffles...
