the garden awakes

going down to the garden, we meet a volunteer under the deck. I didn't put this little guy here, but he is welcome to stay as long as the vinca doesn't overtake him...vinca is establishing a stronghold under the deck and across the yard has already forced the evacuation of the low growing varigated gardenia.
*********************
moving on we meet George Tabor,
happy at last...

The iris, too, have agreed to bloom this year.

The plum trees are loaded, just hope they can hold on. There are probably more than a hundred of these babies on just three trees.

The japanese garden is settling in nicely. The maple seems happier in the backyard than out front by the street. The stone crop sedum came back in a big way! daylilies, too.

The vegetable garden! beans are up. corn, sweet potatoes, banana peppers, zucchini, tomatoes, cucumbers, yellow squash, onion, red potatoes, blueberries and ...... strawberries!

In the butterfly garden, roses about to bloom, and colombine almost done and ready to drop seed for another bunch.
