Mom has discovered swallowtail caterpillars eating the fennel in the garden. She is going to keep us updated on their progress, and hopefully we will see them become butterflies! She went today and got more fennel and a caterpillar habitat to try to keep them eating happily in her garden and not be eaten by other happy inhabitants in the wild world.

Not long after they made their chrysalis. Some made them on sticks and were brown. Others made theirs on the fennel and were green.
And now they have become butterflies!
