August 7--We celebrated Alex's number 11 birthday with a trip to her new favorite restaurant, The Mellow Mushroom. Though we couldn't get into the super cool "tree" seating area, we did get a bench outside of it. Back at home we had a big chocolate chip cookie cake waiting for her.
August 11, the first day of our new schools! Casey is all ready to catch the first bus with her new Hannah Montana book bag. Alex will catch a later bus for middle school.
August 16, we had cookout with my best friends from high school.
