April 30-May 5

This week Casey was Star Student in her classroom. That means she got to bring home the class mascot, who it turns out is a lovely kitty named Socks. Luckily he is stuffed. But we wanted to make Socks feel at home so we offered him a bite to eat.

Later that day we took Socks with us to the school for the Evening in the Garden event. He was happy to watch Casey and her class perform a song and dance on the playground.














Socks had to go back to school on Thursday. Jazzy pretended not to notice, and went straight in for a nap. I think she looks a little sad, though, don't you?

Saturday was the annual neighborhood yard sale, so we got up early to give it a try. The girls opened a Lemonade Stand and were delighted to make their first dollar around 8:30. They worked hard at it all morning, though I think they were their own best customers in gummy sales.
